DESCRIPTION:Royal Mint & Mine – Saturday 26th September 2026 \nwe will leave \n7am  ARLESEY \n7.20 BIGGLESWADE \n7.50 GREAT ASHBY \n8.20 HATFIELD GALLERIA \nThe tickets are priced at £65pp this \nA brand new trip for us – one we haven’t done before – so something new for us all! \nDating back to around 886AD\, The Royal Mint is one of the oldest manufacturers in the World.  Their coins identify their original home as ‘The Tower of London’ before relocation to Tower Hill. \nIn 1968\, The Royal Mint began to move its operation from Tower Hill in the city of London to Llantrisant\, and has operated on a single site In South Wales since 1980. \nOur tour will take us behind the scenes of coin making.  Exciting exhibitions\, thrilling tours\, spellbinding storytelling – there really will be something for everyone.  I’m sure we will never look at the coins in our pockets the same way again! \nAfter our Mint Tour\, we will head up the Road to the Welsh Coal Mine Experience.  We will follow in the footsteps of miners who once worked at the Lewis Merthyr Colliery\, right in the heart of the Rhondda Valley.  Ex-coal miners will guide us on our tour and we will be given an insight into life underground! \nThe Toilet will be available to use throughout your journey.   You can bring a picnic with you\, but we do ask that no hot food is brought onto the coach. \nWe will stop en-route for a 45 minute stop for us to have a cup of tea and and to allow the driver to keep to his hours \nWe will arrive at The Royal Mint for around mid day.  We will have our lunch and   then we will be split into 2 groups to begin our tours.  Our tours will finish around 4pm. \nWe then head back onto the Coach and head up to the Coal Mine which is a short 10 minute drive.   Rough timings indicate we will be finished around 5.15pm \nYou are most welcome to bring a picnic with you but we do not allow hot food to be brought on the coach. \nAs this day involves walking\, particularly in the mine where surfaces may be uneven\, please do wear sensible footwear. \nTravelling home\, we will stop again – somewhere half-way again to allow our drivers to keep to their hours \nTickets are £65pp and include Coach Travel and entry into both The Royal Mint and The Welsh Coal Mine and lunch – you can either pay in full at time of booking or pay half uponbooking with the balance 4 weeks later – all information will be sent via whatsapp so its essential that you text me your number to enable me to store it \nImportant Travel Information and Instructions\nContact Information\nTo ensure you receive your travel reminder and payment details if you choose pay in two please remember to send a text message to the group mobile number: 07304 044920. DESCRIPTION:we have arranged a rather special day out today and we are the first group to do this tour! \nwe will leave \n7AM ARLESEY \n7.30 BIGGLESWADE \n8AM BALDOCK \n8.15 GREAT ASHBY \n8.45 HATFIELD \n   \n  \nwe should arrive at The Farmers Dog – Jeremy Clarksons very British pub by 10.45 – the Farmers puppy – Hops and Chops – The Diddly Squat shop will all be open and the pub opens at 11am – we will spend a couple of hours here then board the coach again at 1.15 for the short drive to Wood Bros Distillery  – the real life farming business featured in the new series of the show – they supply products for The Farmers Dog. \nWe will be joined by Nigel from Hawkstone Brewery and Charlie from Wood Bros on this tour. \nWe will be split into two groups for a rather wonderful afternoon. \nUpon arrival\, we will all be handed a welcome drink then half of us will dive into the world of craft distilling\, walking through the history and unique approach to producing spirits from field to glass.  There will be plenty of opportunities for tastings\, and we will finish the tour in the Wood Brothers bar\, where you can sample the full range of gin\, vodka and liqueurs. \nWhile this is going on our other group will be taught the history of Hawkstone\, how the lager is brewed etc with some rather generous sampling. \nWe will then swap over to incorporate both tours! \nWe will then get back on the coach at 4.30 for our drive home. \nThe price of this rather wonderful day out is £60pp \nImportant Travel Information and Instructions\nContact Information\nTo ensure you receive your travel reminder and payment details if you choose pay in two please remember to send a text message to the group mobile number: 07304 044920. You Coming? \nWithout a doubt  the most magical of trips that we go on. This trip is fully immersive and inclusive and is the epitome of the magic of Christmas. We board the train for the 5.25pm departure.  We will be sat in the Premium carriages\, and everyone gets a hot chocolate\, a cookie\, a souvenir ceramic mug to take home and a magic bell that is given to everyone from Father Christmas whilst on the train. completely understanding how the seats on the train are allocated. \nPremium Seating is £90pp and Carriages are seated in Blocks of 4 and 2 \nyou can either pay in full or pay half upon booking with the balance 4 weeks later \nUnder 2yrs are £25pp and we only have 3 places available. Under 2yrs will sit on the laps of an adult on the train\, but will need their own seat on the Coach. They wont get the mug and the bell \nIf you are booking as a Party of 3 you will be sat together. This enclosure is synonymous with spectacular racing\, high fashion and extraordinary millinery views from the Grandstand and Parade Ring. \nThe Queen Anne Enclosure is the equivalent of flying business class and is the only public enclosure at Ascot Racecourse that offers views of the renowned Parade Ring. \nWhile it might not be the most exclusive area of the course\, it epitomises everything that is Royal Ascot.
